Is Nick Marr the Homesgofast man?
I emailed Homesgofast for more specific details (lots of nitty gritty questions) and all I got back was a referral to the original documentation that had made me ask the questions in the first place.
I'm suspecting it's an expensive badge as, like yourselves, we do the checks in the first place AND all our non-Turkish customers use solicitors. (Turkish customers don't want a solicitor usually as they understand the training and skills that the licensed estate agents have). I can't see what it offers us......but I'd like to hear a convincing argument to the contrary. I'd like to hear the views of any UK based investors....
PS I came across the EEAU this week (European Estate Agents Union, I think). They only allow one constructor / agent in any one area....to try and keep their members head and shoulders above the competition....so I looked up who, if anyone, was the member for this area of Turkey, in case my organisation might be able to "badge up" and low and behold ....it was the constructor / agent who we hear nothing of but horror stories from their unhappy customers - not on their quality of build, no complaints heard there but on their ability to overcharge for every "service" that they provide (which any decent agent would just do as a part of the service) ; their ability to convince clients to buy lots of unnecessaries (at over inflated prices) and their quoting for new roofs when a new tile was needed in both cases (which we fixed for free to help the people out but they'd both been quoted over 900 GBP for a new very small roof).....ie maybe they're OK when the client is buying but as soon as they've signed on that dotted line.....kerching!!....this badge / accrediation thing....it get's me....(sorry for the rant).....
