Also from the UK and the rest of Europe you can find plenty of direct flights to the DR. A lot of them are charters like Thomas Cook. From the Netherlands only, there are flying down 4 or 5 flights a week.
A hot area to invest in at this moment is the Cabarete area. There is a lot of development going on and the market is booming. A lot of investors are investing here.
There is a lot of condo construction going on but the town still has that laid- back atmosphere.
I am living here now for 3 year and own a small scaled hotel which is running great. We recently builded some more apartments since we could not handle all the clients who wanted to visit our place. We are looking for a new challenge and are selling the hotel, but we had a great time and some wonderful years here in Cabarete.
