I have been investing the the Dominican Republic for about 7 years now and have done great.

I prefer the North Coast because it doesn't get hit by Hurricanes, the topography is fabulous with Mountains on one side of the main road and beach on the other.

I have invested in Sosua/Cabarete and have had GREAT returns. I also own land and have developed property in Cabrera which is less touristy and more laid back although the tourism there is high end villa tourism.

I am involved in a project now in a gated community called "Haciendas El Choco" which I believe is very undervalued and poised for serious capital gains. I think the land value has a chance of increasing in the next 2 years and I am looking for a double in value.
