Default Safety in Riyadh for living

Hello.

The only reservation I have is the issue of compound safety/security, I am aware of the attacks in Al-Khobar in 2004. Otherwise I can't wait to have the adventure of a lifetime (I am aware of restrictions for women, but I want to challenge myself by living in a different culture). Having worked in nursing I understand that staying in one's home town does not lesson the chance of having accidents/fatal assaults, which I have unfortunately witnessed. However, I am not in the business of taking unnecessary risks and want to be sure that moving to Saudi will not be a mistake. Would appreciate any advise.

Regards,
Thanks
