Agree but that does not mean that you should buy on a development which does not have full permits....see TV Homes from Hell of those who have done just that !!!
In 2008 if you buy via the right agents and ' even if you do' you make sure that all permits are OK you will not have any problems
The basics are:
All permits
Pay your deposit and get a bank or insurance company guarantee for your money- no limitations
Do not complete without the 'Licence of first Occupation'.....Habitation Licence
Then it is the same as buying in UK
And you can still in this EU static market and low exchange rate still find some good legal deals in Spain
Of course for life style buyers the reasons for buying in Spain are just ' better than anywhere'!!!......perhaps that is a touch personal!!!
