I am in Southern Cyprus and to be honest I would never recommend any one buying in Northern Cyprus.
Apart from all of the problems already well known about regarding most of the land that is being built on belonging to Greek Cypriots and the legal and political problems, there are also more and problems emerging.
The infrastructure in Northern Cyprus is not able to cope with the boom in building and many people are now finding themselves with houses which are finished but no electricity or water.
We know of people (friends of friends) who have been told that their house will not have any electircity or water for at least 5 years because the infrastructure cannot cope.
If you have not already committed yourself think very very carefully before you do.
YES the prices are cheaper than in the South. But there are many reason for it.
