I dont personally know the area as we live in the Paphos area. However we have been told it by contacts that it is a nice area.
The only problem we have with the Eastern side of Cyprus is that the holiday season is much shorter than the Paphos area as the winters are much colder on that side of the island so rental potential is not as good. However the summer months are much hotter and the beaches are nicer than the Paphos area so during the summer months the Eastern coast is very popular.
I think that for anyone wanting summer beach holidays the Eastern coast is great but anyone looking for somewhere to live year round the Paphos area is the best.
