Sarah - a residence visa is required to issue POA in the Notary Office. See http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ns-here-3.html post 24 onwards.

Ref visitors visas - you can download the form on the Consulate site and post to them. If you go more than once in 6 months then it is worth your while getting a multi entry visa which is £18 each and again you can download the form and apply by post - it is really quick and they process them in about 5 days and post the visa back to you.
