Hi Max and welcome. We and lots of other forum members are buying in Sharm and the 99 yr lease is not a problem at all and it is renewable for the new owner if you sale at a cost of £1000 ( I believe they then get a new 99 yr lease ). There are lots and lots of re sales in Sharm and there is a really nice one which I will be viewing next week for a friend called Sharm Residence. A 3 bed one is 49,950 but the agent said an offer around 45k might be accepted. There were also a couple of 2 beds for sale for 43K. You also get full use of Oriental private beach and gym, tennis courts etc and also 50% off all food bought in the hotel restaurants. There are loads in Hadaba and Naama as well. Some resale studios are on the market for around 18K in Sharm.
Check out the legal thread as well for buying process.
