Default German Mortgages

Hi Charlie,

As Goldberg says stop head banging. The German banks do have a very outdated attitude to lending for property purchases i.e. if their lending to you their doing you a favor!

For our clients who buy through us we recommend a team of brokers in Berlin. They have worked through the banking system for many years and know how to present the data to get a quick decision. Mostly we enjoy much higher levels of success with applications than individuals would. As I'm sure your aware it’s quite often who you know not what. Although a combination of the two is best

For single apartments you should work on the basis of 60% LTV, for larger purchases possibly higher. All mortgages are capital repayment and generally fixed over 5 or 10 year periods (av int rate 5-5.5%).

If you would like to find out more please send email me at, info@alphare.net

Kind regards,

Andrew Stanley
