I live on Curacao (Dutch Caribbean) and the real estate market there is still undervalued compared to some neighboring islands, but it's getting ready to take off. There are quite a few resort projects here that offer great investment opportunities at pre-construction prices. One is on an 18 hole championship golf resort, with beautiful villa's, some of which are directly on the waterfront others are "on the green".

Investors will have no problems renting these villas to vacationers who want easy access to the beach or who want to golf. Participation in a rental pool makes it super attractive for absentee owners who live overseas too.

Just about all Caribbean islands have something great to offer, it just depends on what you are looking for, and whether you can get in on the ground floor level (i.e. pre construction prices), cause the prices tend to go up relatively quickly too.
