Howdy y'all,

I've heard a few horror stories about the above & would like to know exactly what the real situation is here.

Are these usually applicable in rural areas? I have assumed that they would be impractical to enforce in urban or residential areas.

Also, do these apply in the Canary islands as well? I have assumed here that the local planning laws are stricter due to the fact that these are popular tourist destinations throughout the year.
