Well at least you know what to expect, I on the other hand, I have not even set foot in Hurghada yet. I have been up the Nile twice and had a day in Cario, thats all ive seen of Egypt........so i really hope i like Hurghada because i saw the property on-line and thought as i cant afford the likes of spain etc this would be a nice beginning to buying abroad. Hi welcome to the forum.
Having spent a few holidays in Lowestoff I'd have to say that Hurghada is nothing like that - for a start there is no see front to see, except in a few odd locations.
The main sea front town street is what one would call "busy". The newer tourist areas in Hurghada, also have no sea to be seen, and are quite different, and very modern, even some good looking buildings, with a good prom to walk down.
It's a great place to be and plenty of scope to suit all tastes,
Oh, and it has sun 365 days a year - just a few clouds during the "winter".
