Default Depends on the contract

Hi bob, in answer to the question, I think it depends on the contract the landlord and tenant have.

Normally the tenant gives the landlord a bond eg 1-2 months rent, and at the end of the tenancy the damages are taken out of this money.

If the tenant destroys the place then they could liable for court action. Buying property with furniture packs is quite common, or resales to be sold with furniture in in spain is common. Unlike in UK where removals are a big business, maybe the Spanish can not be bothered. It is a different mindset.
