I am pleased to hear from you. So have you checked out the sites that assess your eligibility for residency in Canada then? Will your partner be granted residency, where she would not have been for the U.S?
Your trips to Vancouver and Toronto...are you trying to decide which city or location will suit you best, lining up job interviews etc?

I've never been to Canada, but I have a couple of friends who absolutely love it and would go there every year if the flights were cheap enough. I think my friend Chris' most recent trip was to Vancouver, and she said it was really nice. The people, the parks, the whole atmosphere really appealed to her.
