i've seen countless desirable/reasonable properties available on various
websites.

is it a no go area for some reason?

my husband and myself have bought 3 properties on the Island of Itamaraca. We first went there 18 months ago and fell in love with the place. The people are friendly the cost of living is very very cheap and the properties are at the moment a ridiculously low price. We have joined forces with a local Estate Agent named Paulo and set up a Web Site to sell properties at the local prices not inflated like some agents are trying to do. Even at inflated prices they are cheap compared to British Prices. If you want to know more please feel free to contact us

Try contacting Debzob, who is an active member on this Forum, he is English and lives on the Itamaraca Island and has a construction company. Visiting yourself and gaining information and proper guidance from people with real local knowledge and can truely speak your language is by far the best way to go when looking for that great investment or place to live.
Regards
Paul

Thank you Paul for that. I am still looking and actually passed up (accidentally) what may have been a really great deal.
Btw how do I contact the person you mentioned do they have a website? I'm new to this forum and don't know how to privately contact a member.

You can click on a persons forum name and then have an option to send a private message vai totally property to their email address, but you can only do this after completing 5 posts, since you havent yet I will send a PPM to Debzor for you to notify him of this thread.
Best of luck
Paul
