I'm really interested in the NE Brazil market and this thread is very informative.
So far due to lack of funds until January I have only brought 2 building plots in a development called The Plantation (through Colliers), near Belmonte, Bahia. Interestingly, I paid in sterling and the contract stated sterling.

I've looked at Fortaleza and Natal and would like something in Natal area next.

I am new to this forum as I am very new to buying - this is my first buy lol

I have just reserved a one bed in Marginata. I am very excited about all this, I just need some help from you pro's please.

Where do i go from here? Can you tell me what solisitor you have used or reccomend one? Also with regards to the contract and exchange of currency what is the case with Marginata?

How do you feel about the hotel and spa complex being built on the sand dunes by our part of the development ? I must admit I too was told quite categorically that they were protected and would never be built on. So how much credibility can you give to the assurance that its only going to be 3 storey ??

My biggest concern is the timing. Fine if its all being built together but what if we get our rental flowing only to find a building site on our doorstep.

Hi all,

Just got back from hols this morning- what have I missed any latest news yet??

Also was talking to virgin atlantic trolley dollies on the flight and they had some news on brazil flights!

Apparently virgin done a few chartered flights to brazil as a trial run at the end of last year and are planning to do flights to a couple of locations to brazil in the future permenantly as the trial went well and they sold out the flights really quickly!
As usual its just a case of when now, just sit and wait!!
