Anyone heard of this project? Is it good to invest in Joao Pessoa?

Never heard of the project, but a small plot is worth investing in for the longer term.

There are several similar projects in this area. All of them in my opinion are at Gringo prices! There is no guarantee that anyone will actually build anything there. They are all selling just a plot, some considerable distance from beaches or anything. The price equates to some 30,000 R$ and more. If you are looking to invest for the longer term then you should be buying at Brazilian prices. If you want a guaranteed return then why not buy into Brasilian loteamentos. At least you can be sure that you can sell on to Brasilians who will be able to get finance to build the house or buy the house you build.

There are many opportunities to invest in 'Brasil'. take away the glitz and glamour of so called 'resorts' and look at the Brasilian market. It is growing rapidly with the easier mortgage funding.

To invest in this market you need a great deal of care so as not to get burned. All depends on the level you want to invest at. 12000 euros is credit card money and practically nobody comes here to see what they get for the money. That is why many end up with a purchase they will never see, and possibly not be able to sell on for many years to come. Anything that relies on overseas buyers almost to the exclusion of the local population will fall into that catagory. If you have Skype then we can talk.
