Default platinum / PDI / Irish developer

I don't think anyone apart from a surveyor can really judge the build quality. It may well be ok, but all developers will have slick artists impression drawings of the development and say its the best build quality you will find so you can't really base anything on whats on their site.

I think whether they are a reputable company or not is a bit easier to ascertain, and the evidence is certainly stacked against them on that one!

I am glad I found this forum as I too have had promises of return of deposit from Platinum. They owe me €27,514.20, no sign of it yet.

Mr Neil O'Reily has promised in the press that the original investors will be getting their money back, so where is it Mr Neil O'Reily?

Platinum developments have told me numerous times that I will get my money from them. They also gave some good excuses, sorry reasons why not yet.

They had to wait until they had sold all the apartments.
They had to wait until they got the deposits for those apartments.
they had to wait until those apartments were completed and they got the balance paid to them.

Just pay the Money back

There seem to be a few posting on here about Platinum. I am starting to wonder if it is not time you all got together... why not pm each other? And then join forces to get yourselves a really good independent lawyer who can act for you all? It would certainly be cheaper to get together as a group and for sure, would apply more pressure too. Maybe you have done this already?

But, there is no point continually posting on forum(s). This will not help your cause and could even create difficulties for you if you go into legal proceedings against the company.

What about working as a group, throwing all your facts, written documentation and evidence together and then taking legal action directly?

Default Platinum Developments - an update

Don't worry, we are getting together - and there are more of us all the time - pooling the information, sharing legal advice, planning our campaign activities and talking to journalists in UK, Ireland and abroad.
Who knows which website or forum we might turn up on next, who knows which property shows we might turn up to, who knows which former employees we are speaking too.
What anyone who is interested should know is there are 25-plus of us now, owed at last estimate around €500,000 by Platinum Developments/Sunset Resort. We feel conned and we want justice and we're not going away until we get it.

It's good that you have all got together - but my personal advice would be to get one lawyer to act for you all and bring a case against Platinum. Threats of forums, property shows, etc are not going to help you; they will even damage your case. Get good legal advice and get them in court and win !!!

Default there is

There is one lawyer dealing with all complaints for money back from this developer/company. She is currently preparing notary appeals on behalf of those wishing to take further action. Please contact me if you are an original investor and want to be involved. There is also an action group headed by an original investor who lives here in Bulgaria.

Hi Rachel

Good that one person is taking up the baton.... could you please post on here who the lawyer is, their address and contact details so that anyone who has a problem can go direct to them. Also the original investor's details (providing the investor agrees of course) so again others can go direct. With people's personal finances and situation I think it would be best if they can talk to the lawyer directly rather than go through any third party, that way they can feel comfortable about everything. Thanks in advance

Cheers,

I was one of the original investors who is owed money by Platinum Developments/Sunset Resort. I would be interested in joining the group action and would like details of the lawyer who is representing others in the same situation. Thanks
