so you are funding these? I get properties much cheaper than that, so where are they? I have many deals I can't take advantage of, looking to wholesale if anyone is interested or sell some of my properties that are completed and rented.

Yes, I have funded these from equity made on my properties in the U.K. When fully rehabbed, I will be remortgaging them to their new value and taking around 80% of the equity out to buy more.

So, you buy in Buffalo? No comment :-)

There is already a ton of great comments here who really give you some great insight. I'd like to add that you should always talk to several Realtors before you buy in an area you are unfamiliar with.

If you can, book flight to the U.S. before you part with your money and inspect the area upfront. It might help you to avoid experience nasty surprises.

I will be renting all properties I buy with the intention of a long term income.

There is plenty of money to be made from properties where I am buying, they have more of a resale market too.

What are the reasons to buying in Buffalo if you dont mind me asking apart from them being cheap I'm interested to know?

Cheers
Simes

Default Have a look at Anderson Indiana

Its a lot cheaper than Florida. Lower crime rate and a lot of bargains about.
I just bought two houses at Auction for £10.000. They both need work but are really cheap.

Brian - I hope this is not seen as ------g on your fire mate. But what ressearch have you done on the area and/

or the agent who you purchased from?

Default why use an agent

I buy direct from auction and not through agents. I have the deeds and have been doing this for the last three years.
Never had a problem always get the deeds, rates bills twice a year.
Im British and live in France if you would like to see some of the pictures just send me an email address.
Im sitting on 15 properties from Jackson in the south to Toledo and Saginaw in the North.
When the market picks up I will sell. You cannot go wrong at these prices.

Cheers

Simes,
Please post the rant. There's going to be more tears than have already been shed about certain areas of the NE US. I'm not going anywhere near the place let alone investing there.
