Default bit diferent investment oppurtunities

Hi to you all,

I am checking a bit diferent investment oppurtunities, I have about 150.000 USD to spent. I would prefer to invest in property. But i am open for idea's. Myself i am from luxembourg, living in the United Kingdom, but I prefer to do investments in the south of Spain.

I was checking some investment property website called they seem to have some good opportunities what i am looking for, to combinate my investment with holidays, and they seem also seem to make sure the aparthotel you buy has over 70% occupation. which pays out commisions.

Can anyone tell me if they had experiences with this system, as this is very new for me, I never heard of such system, but it sounds great to me.

Thank you

It is unlikely you will buy anything in the south of Spain in a holiday area for that money without a hefty mortgage. Aparthotels are great and there are a number of them in Spain. Also you say you want to "invest". You have to consider that if you wanted to sell at some future date, who are you selling to, other holiday home seekers? If you check our site there you will find some reasonably priced good quality investments in Spain and other locations.

I think that this budget might be a little low for an ideal holiday property in Spain, which will also assure a good ROI. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that its not doable. However, I would rather suggest to look for properties in emergent countries, in which, with this budget, you can easily find a superb holiday home, right by the sea, with great rental return, and no mortgage needed at all, and a secured %7-%10 ROI p.a.

I will give you a tip - to find out if the market you are going to invest is not overpriced. Ask for a bank valuation report for mortgage. Many markets are overpriced and valuation - v - asking price may shock you.

I have just had 7 done and the range of valuations - v - asking prices was over the spread 25 to 55%.

All Income if you are a non resident is taxed at 24%. So deduct this from the occupancy. 70% seems high.
Buy to Let in Spain, and guaranteed income products in spain are hard to come by. See who is guaranteeing you the income. Spain is in a trough at the moment, so any money they can get from foreigners will be snapped up. Proceed with caution.
