Default Golf Clair in Saint Cyprien France

In terms of Golf I will be choosing a place with easy access (airport), sunny all year, and high end quality services (gastrononmic restaurant, swimming pool etc..). Of course if the golf course is next to beach even better.

I found a new development in France, in Languedoc Roussillon in a place called St Cyprien which match with the above criteria. There, you will have access to a 27 holes international golf course with beautiful view on lacs and mountains... only 800 Meters away from the beach. I saw many companies proposing for this programme named Golf Clair, Latitudes, ApartForSale, Leapfrog properties, VIBO etc... It must be a good opportunity to invest in.

Default Could't agree more..

Totally agree, the Silver Coast is a massive investors market right now. A friend of mine sold in Praya del Rey last year and made 300.000 euros in commissions. There must also be a reason why the likes of Oceanica buys every golf course in sight or construct new ones all over Algarve. There are already 35 established golf courses and many more to come. With flights from every airport in the UK and Irleland 2.5-3 hrs away we need not to worry, Portugal is now an all year round destination.

The place is stunning and within a localised hotspot. There are 3 new courses being built within 5 minutes of Praia del Rey - one of which will be truly spectacular. Faleisa del Rey will be the Number 1 course in Europe within 5 years! Views to die for and run by PDR.
These polls are quite meaningless and as Soup Dragon points out - they are in descending price order.

Default The Silver Coast 'Golden Triangle'

Lissy - Thanks for agreeing with me. I honestly believe now though that if an investor wants to make some serious returns on the Silver Coast - there is only 1 place to invest. PDR is great for lifestyle, but a lot of the growth potential has gone.
The Perola da Lagoa development will sit slap bang in the middle of all the new 5 star golf developments with prime waterfront views from the new 3 bed designer houses - these are 30% below market value.
I can email the map to anyone is interested.
We met with a developer twice this year who is very good friends with the mayor. He has now pulled out of Praia del Rey and is now investing totally at Perola da Lagoa! We have also personally invested here.

I seriously considered the Silver Coast but as with Spain and some parts of Portugal, oversupply is a real concern.

A genuine concern in most areas and a valid comment. However, the area around the Obidos Lagoon is a protected area with planning restrictions,
Therefore, this will limit supply and generate good demand.
If you PM me your email address, I 'll send you an example of what is planned south of the lagoon and an example of the prices

I think Lighthouse golf resort is good for investment,
they are building a huge SPA centre also, and the development will be open all year round!

Smile Kenyan Coast - Vipingo Ridge

We bought an on course 'footprint' at Vipingo Ridge Kenya in February 07. We have been told that the same plot would cost three times what we paid for it if we sold it!
We wanted a winter sun destination with good golf and lots of other things to do for the family. The development has a solid financial backing - 18 months of development before they started selling and is in a beautiful spot.
We are chuffed to bits with our 'investment' in Kenya thus far, and hope that it soon becomes more than an investment but a really lovely place to stay, easy to rent out and perhaps one day, a home!

This "Top Ten" list is quite risible !. It has nothing to do with golf and everything to do with marketing property. I'm a keen (albeit c#@p) golfer and personally on golf holidays I stay in hotels - I don't want the hassle of self-catering, and this is generally true of other golfers I've met. I was a fan of Spain & Portugal, but I now have to concur with medseA. I've just returned from a week in Belek, where there are more than a dozen courses within a 5 minute drive, all cleverly designed, in excellent condition and with sumptious clubhouses. Within 30 minutes of landing in Antalya I was sipping champagne in a Mercedes limousine on my 20 minute transfer to the hotel, where I was offered a light snack, as "the midnight buffet will open in 30 minutes". This set the tone for the week. I stayed in a 5 star all-inclusive hotel, with 4 rounds of golf included (limousine transfers each way - no waiting) for less than £600 !. Egypt, Bulgaria etc. will have to go some to beat this set up.
