Hi All,

What is everyones opinions on Holiday home portals?
Do you get the rental you were looking for out of them?
What are the pros?
Cons?
userbility of them?

Is there anything that you would like to see available to you online that currently isnt?

I assume from your forum name that you have a potential commercial interest in the answer to the question, which is fine, however it would be helpful if that was made clear please.
I know there are limitations on what you can add in a post based on the type of membership you sign up for, and you will see from my Signature lines that I have a commercial interest, which hopefully is made very obvious.

There is a potential need for a better way to get rentals into every development where the owners are looking to make money, and as a developer I might be interested at some point in helping my Owners Club to do this, hence my post.

Hi Dave,

Yes we do have a commercial interest in this question. The main reason, we are about to embark as acompany on a 12month development project to produce a website that will help property owners and management companies run there property business through a online bookings portal. We are currently in the first stages of developments as code for the site has just begun.

The main reason for my email is that we obviously want to offer the best service and website we can. We want it to be user friendly and make the management of property more and effective and efficient.

Thanks for the info.

Can I suggest that you upgrade your membership to allow you to post "sales" stuff - lots of advantanges fro those of us with commercial interests.

I use the forum for "open questions", like yours, not always helpful but it does get your name "out there" and will eventually prove very valuble.

You need to use all the different country forums with the same post / questions - not just the general forum.
