I visited the proposed property area last week and was NOT impressed. I felt in danger the entire time. I am Canadian and caucasion, and I think anyone with light skin should be VERY careful over there....it's like Compton in the early 90's.

Go to a basketball game in Limon. Bullet holes are on the backboards! If you dare leave your car unattended while at the game, have another idea of how your getting home.

There are bad parts of NewYork City where the same rules of thumb apply. I have enjoyed my time on the Atlantic coast and have not had any problems. The same car always lasted the whole trip. Thanks for the advise.

Default Response to Crashklein

Hey crashklein, I also can't help but think that ANY Caribbean real estate, notwithstanding the local conditions at present, would have nowhere to go but up in the future. With interest and speculation comes development...that's what happened on the Pacific side. If they quit making land a long time ago, they quit making Caribbean beachfront eons ago. I am seriously considering a trip to the area to pick up something...any suggestions?

I am looking solely for a residential lot(s). As I mentioned, I've never been there yet so I don't have a lay of the land at present. Ultimately, somewhere beachfront (or close) where a potential for future development exists (i.e. a large project(s) underway/planning phase, hotels, etc.) would be what I'm looking for. Any contact info on this realtor would be appreciated. Thanks again.
