Default Caribbean coast of Costa Rica?

I'm really interested in buying property in Costa Rica but i think the pacific coast has gotten overcrowded. I found something on islamoin .com, isla moin a resort and marina on the atlantic side, seems interesting. Any advice? and has anyone heard about this development?..

Default Ur a tico??

I have been going to the Caribbean side of CR since I was a little girl!!! We went a lot to puerto viejo and around there, its soooo much better than the pacific, its so overcrowded and full of tourists, I guess I like things more relax and into the beautiful countryside than just hanging out at a bar with a bunch of random people.
Anywho, I have read in the papers here and online that there is some huge luxury resort thing going up.. I guess im happy that the caribbean is finally getting the recognition it deserves, but I hope this project helps the people in Limon get jobs and stuff! their website is islamoin.com .... maybe Isla Moin , or IslaMoin , im not sure how you spell it, is what you are looking for...
the newspapers here say its really promising,
Good luck!!

I am an investor in Islamoin. I have seen the property and legal records. I am very excited about it. I prefer the Caribian side to the over crowded side.

Hello Steve

I owned a property near islamoin is a farm of 140 acres with ocean and mountain view, interesting for investment and development. Is on sale by owner.

Let me know if someone interested.

Why would you invest in the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica?

It has the nations highest crime rate.

It has very little infrastructure.

It's "airport" everyone touts is garbage.

The area is polluted in general and there are NO luxury communities.

The Caribbean is perfect for you if you are Rastafarian, from the inner city and on a tight budget, or you are accustomed to being robbed, raped, and potentially murdered. As for me, I'll stick with areas that have already boomed and are more like my homeland of Canada, like Jaco and Playa Grande.

If you really want to invest your money and obtain profits fast, invest in Central Pacific or South Pacific of Costa Rica. All this area are potential growing quickly.

I cant help to wonder where all the bad press about the Caribian Coast comes from. I havent seen any crime or any of the negatives that people talk about. I was told that developers on the West Coast have been spreading these rumors. I personally think that the Caribian side has the most investment potential and I would prefer to spend time there as well. No crowded beaches there.
