Default Barbados is a Paradise and The Market has so many opportunities to own property

Barbados has so many developments going up on its coast ripe for foreign investment. What makes this so exciting is that the property prices are competitive and many condo , aprtments and other developments are pre sold.

Living in Barbados is great and right now there is a beach bar for sale in a prime south coast location , right on the beach, it is spaciaous and is frequented by traffic from plenty of neighbouring hotels. The beach it is located on is also a popular beach with the locals and again the price is extremely competitive. It is a gorgeous bar I read about it in a British Virgin islands forum beach bars for sale in the Caribbean.

Default Mexican Riviera

I have investments in the Mexican Riviera Maya and the place is growing by leaps and bounds. The great thing about MX is it has been through the stages of Pre-Problematic Real Estate Ventures. It has grown to the status where investors from all over the world are now flocking to purchase because it is safe now. No "Prestanombres" (name-lenders) needed and it is fully a viable place that has caught up to the 21st Century unlike areas like DR, Costa Rica, South America in general where u are going to have title problems. The area is just now launching and like anything that just starts out, ur going to have snags. The Mexican Government has already taken care of that so when u have major title companies like Stewart Title, Fidelity Mutual, etc. working in these areas u know its a good thing. Right now a whole new generation of hotel owners are up and coming because the old are dying or getting out because they cannot keep up anymore. This is causing Sales that give u instant Equity on ur purchase.Understand that if u look at the Spanish Economy it has grown strong in the past 10 years. This is highly due to the fact that Spainish Investors are buying all the properties in Mexicos Touristic Locations and running them. This is viable information because the Spanish are always looking for more rooms to purchase. This makes Mexico and its touristic Areas a very Smart and Simple Investment. Let me know if u want to purchase in this area, as I have several properties that I would be interested in a REIT to take advantage of potential in the Mexican Caribbean

St. Maarten is definitely very "hot" for real estate investments. I live in the dutch Caribbean, and both St.Maarten and Aruba are very popular. Curacao ( the largest island) is less popular, but offers better opportunities for investors at the moment because it has not really been "discovered" as yet so the real estate prices here are still significantly below the prices on other islands. But all that may change soon, since the tourist office is very busy promoting the island as a tourist and investment "hot spot". That's one reason why I decided to focus on the Curacao market for the next couple years. There is a lot of real estate action going on here with lots of opportunities for investors, buyers and sellers.

Default Paradise found

After 10 years dragging my wife round the Caribbean, not that she needed much persuasion, we finally bought our dream home in the Turks and Caicos Islands on Providenciales... so why there...

VERY low crime rate, almost non existant.
One of the highest crime rates solved of any police force, it just doesnt happen..

they speak English

food is local, European and American

very Christian country.

Lovely people

NO drugs, NO guns, NO pornography

Huge Expat society so you dont feel like the only foreigner.

Great schools

Good sports complex and marinas

ZERO TAX, well with the exception of house property tax and import tax.
There is NO annual tax on property or land each year (1% in the Bahamas I think), doesn't sound a lot but if I went to the Bahamas and spent $500k on a property that's $5,000 tax per year.

regular flights to the USA and Nassau.

TCI is outside of the hurricane belt unlike many others who get smashed on a regular basis.

Oh and finally one of the best beaches in the WORLD at Grace Bay.

The property and land is ALL listed on one web site at TCREA - Turks and Caicos Real Estate Association I found Karen and Terry at National Colony Realty to be without doubt the best, say you know of me from the web and they will consider you a serious punter and not just another 'holiday dreamer'

All I can say is if you want peace, relaxation, a simple but happy life you wont beat the Turks and Caicos.

good luck

mmmm...well, watch the series Caribbean cops to know why St Lucia is not a good idea...on the lines of gangs, drugs and guns.
Cayman islands are lovely, just a shame you need to have such a huge income to become a resident and they get hit by hurricanes so often.. That sound like someone who has been there on a 2 week vacation and never lived or worked on the islands.

Yeah, but there is crime everywhere! Even here! Why would developers spend millions of pounds in souch bad countrys? So I presume that you have lived on both? Or have you just watched too much TV? So where would you suggest?

Yes have lived on both and many others...the TV just shows the tip of the problem...have you heard about the USAs great idea to kick out all their foreign ex cons...even if they moved to the states as a child? a case of 3 strikes and your out...well this is one of the causes of the rise in crime in otherwise lovely countries.
Where would I suggest? depends on how much money you have, Bermuda, BVI or Turks & Caicos (Providenciales).. There is no such place as a perfect destination, you just have to decide what you want and what you can afford.
If you want lush mountains and waterfalls the TCI isnt for you but if you want the best beach in the world it is..

Hi Carameux,

I agree St. Martin's Dutch side offers great investment opportunities. Not come across Curacao. What projects have you looked at and what are the prices.

You can PM me if you like.

Thanks
