What upcoming events are planned for SC in the next few years apart from meaningless football and cricket friendlies?
Sorry but I dont much see the point for SC
SC will have tennis ( David Lloyd tennis academy ), hockey ( International hockey federation ), cricket ( I.C.C ), golf ( don't know who in particular ). That would mean a lot of courts and stadiums to support this cause.

Dubai and not sports city as such will compete for international events. A part of the events would be possibly held in sports city, part of it in Abudhabi considering it's the capital and part of it in other parts in Dubai.

Sports city would gather interest from the world as it's a place dedicated to sport which might ( correct me if I am wrong ) not be found in many places.

The concept is in place and the rest will follow.

Regards

Roshan

Does anyone know the current status of Profile Residence on Sports City (R4-3) as I have nothing but deafening silence from them for the past 12 months or so. I have put 40% down and will require finance for the remaining balance, due on completion. However, I cannot find a lender who will support this. An earlier posting suggested that Profile have sold the development on, but if this is the case, surely I would have been advised?

You're right... And Beirut was one of the first cities to have this concept in place... I can't fault it!

Hi David Smith

If I am not mistaken , they just kept the area barricated and put a board showing profile, I dont think that they sold it to someone.Better have a check with them . I thought they are a good developer. About payment plan ,when I was doing re search for my investment, this one had one of the best payment plan and that was 15% down , 15% after 1 year and rest on completion. The location of this one was good.
Generally contracts between you and developer will clarify whether they are supposed to advise you or not.
bye

Default sports city anyone?

Hi,I have been reading this thread with interest, and joined up so I could participate. I have recently signed up with profile for a 1 bed in Stadium Point. I'm not sure about their info that construction is underway as i have not seen any photos- plot C2-2 .
Anyone else bought here or have any idea what stage it's at?
Thanks in advance, I will give updates to anyone interested.
