Here we go :
How High will that new Cricket stadium be, with the huge dome on top??

There are many people who have bought apartments thinking they will have a lovely view OVER the Cricket stadium, if you watch the video about it (in link in the post- "An overview of Sports City") it looks like it could swallow a 15-20 storey building.

This is quite a critical question for those people on that side of Stadium point.

Any ideas????? Free dinner on me to the first correct answer

Thanks in Advance
The cricket stadium is not going to be a towering monster of a stadium. The aspect of the cricket stadium is flatter than the likes of football stadium. It allows for easier views of the ball from the spectators. Also the dome you are referring to is also flatter, and only comes out to cover the spectators, no more - more of a skirt than a dome really. I am expecting some up to date pictures through soon and will post as soon as...however the attached picture demonstrates this quite well. Not seen the video, however I would expect that the stadium it is showing is that of the football stadium or the indoor arena.

I would say that it looks about 6 storeys high. Also the first few floors of Stadium Point are commercial floors, so the residential units do not start until higher up, so you should get good views on the cricket side. There is also a substantial podium.

Also, have a look at the construction picture below - whilst not strictly speaking relevant to your question, it does show the distance between the SP plot and the stadium. remember that this is excavation work.

As for the Triplanet website, this should be updated within one month.
Hope this helps some of you.
If I can, I will post an recent (as in today) aerial photo of Sports City and you can work out where your building is...or should be.

Just one addition

I think Elite prices in RE SALE are cheapest at the moment , I dont know WHY ??? Anyone has any IDEA ???

Thanks, those photos are great,

I agree it will be a flat looking stadium, but I got obtained some official stats and the stadim itself was just over 20m and the roof another 18.5 or something, totalling around 40m high.
It looks flat because of its size, over 200m in diameter.

Thanks for a very nice aerial photo.

It looks very empty from the top where as in person if you visit its full of people working and cranes etc.

Bye

Thats a great photo,
When you say progress, or lack of, I'd say it's better than I expected.

I'd say by the end of 2009, 18 months away, it will be fantastic to take another shot from same angle, and it will be breathtaking.

I live in Moscow, and the building going on is, although not really comparable, very extensive. If I leave for 6 weeks, I'm always amazed how a construction has grown another 8 or 10 floors. They fly up.
