Martin, just so you know....I'm taking my money and getting the hell out of dodge/dubai. The 5% gain they are offering should just about cover what I've lost through exchange rates as the dollar is considerable weaker now than when I first bought.
The 22k extra they are looking for is 25% of the original price...it's a ridiculous demand, and I want nothing more to do with this development. It has been a sham of a development from the get go. When you consider the problem we had before with crazy delays and the demands of final payments been made before completion. And now all this messing of changing developers and increasing the cost by 25%.
My advice, take your money and head for the hills.....Dubai is dead to me!!!!

Hi I've just invested in Bermuda views with them, they seem pretty reputable,Profile are the developer, is this a nakheel project if anyone knows as they are the main developers on Dubailand from what i have read. Have you bought from them, also is it the case the contract is supplied once you have paid the initial payment, so what use is a lawyer if you have paid your 30%.Any suggestions? Sorry if any of these are repetitive, dream homes have said they will send me a draft copy of the contract , but the proper copy once I have paid the 30%, which will come from profile, I think they are also known as zero4 solutions, as they are managing the project.

Hmm Jason...I think if the developer delays payment to the government on your home registration you can sue them for 10% of the total amount...They have protection laws against that...

You should deal with Platinum Homes Dubai I have been dealing with them and never had such problems.

Maybe so, but I am very sceptical. I searched for these apartments from the new developer on the internet and they are selling them for the same price as I bought mine for (when you take into account the 22k they are demanding we pay).
I hope it all works out as planned for you, I really do, beause for the amount of heartache it has caused, I think everyone who invested in this development deserves to make heaps of cash!!
However, I don't trust the development, I hear certain airlines are pulling out of Dubai, I don't trust the strength of the dollar....and for this reason, I am going to take my 5% gain (which does not even cover the losses I have made on the exchange rate) and leave Dubai alone.
All the best.

i myself am selling on my appartment in sports city before its even completed , the reason being , the mid east is politically unstable , the usa is begining to loose its power over there and dubai is nothing but a puppett state of the usa , were the islamic fundies to gain control in the morning , all westerners would flee the likes of dubai , places like dubai are an anathema to the average muslim in the mid east , decadenet and western , the whole place is nothing more than a rich sheeks wet dream
