Default different opinion

I checked the current price for arabian crowne. a lot less than 1349/ft. it's around 1050/ft. why don't you check it out and let me know.

when I bought metro tower. The main selling points of city of arabia to me when I bought were the wadi walk canal, mall of arabia and the monorail. Obviously, if the G Tower becomes one of the most prestigious buildings in dubai, it only further enhances all our investments. Also, I believe the times residence (rotation tower) is also in COA.
I think long-term, our investment is sound. It will take a LONG time for dubailand to be ready, but once all the other projects are up and running (remember the snowdome and aquadunya are in very close proximity to city of arabia), the value will go up. I am hoping to realise a good value by the time the metro line comes up in 2015.

Are any of you guys contemplating renting or just selling off when it is completed? How much do you think a 2bdrm apartment will go for (not G tower, as that will be EXPENSIVE). I am usually very pessimistic, so anything around 120K, I will be happy.

Kev, are you in dubai or an investor from abroad? what about you dayfox?

Iam an investor from abroad and Iam not sure if i will rent out upon completion or sell it directly...
The Units in BusinessBay Iam planning to rent out.. As for City of Arabia I think it will turn out to be a long term investment. Nothing is ready there before end 2009-2010.

Yeah, officially, they are saying June 2009 (although one sales rep accidentally told me sept 2009). Mall of arabia is supposed to be ready june 2009 too, but that is a huge project, cannot see that being ready before end of 2009 either.

How much are you expecting to sell your apartment for when it is ready? Any inkling what the rent could be?

G tower is more of a branded building by GIO (www.gio.ae ) designed internally by Philipe Starck, the world's most famous designer ( www.yooarehere.com ). It's mainly targeted at the fashion/celeb set with a full list of benefits.

The apts are all smart (i.e. electronically controlled) with Starck interiors, wrap around ,convertible , air conditioned balconies with hot tubs, poggenpohl kitchens etc.

There is a free membership of Quintessentially, 24 hour valet and concierge and the lobby details are astonishing-I'm not permitted to divulge!!

I know it all seems a bit gimmicky but that's what a lot of people with the cash want. Also when you consider Armani are selling at 9000 dhs per sq foot and Versace at 4500 then it's still a bargain.

I don't understand why developer's price is higher than market price. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
