Too late now, anyway, because the first three buildings launched are all sold out.
what did you pay per sq foot for metro tower?

I am not sure what the launch prices were in 2006, but I bought it in Feb 2007 and paid 825dhs psf. I think it is 970dhs psf now, but not sure. I am hoping it goes to 1100-1200 dhs psf by completion.

When did you buy and what was the cost?

Bought 3 apts totalling 6600 square foot at 1100 dhs . This was investors price whilst normal price was 1400. Bought in Feb 06. I am hoping it will top out at 3200 dhs when finished.

you obviously haven't seen G tower then. our apartments are designed by philipe starck and fitted out to the same standard as Le Reve- just not as big!!

ok, now I googled the G Tower- nice one! But still, i think 1100 is too much for that point in time. Additionally whole City of Arabia is delayed by at least one year... I am glad that i only put around 700k in City of Arabia and the rest in Business Bay which seems to be currently the by far better bet!

Anyways, we are in the same boat! Good luck that our investment will turn out nice..

Cheers but I am inclined to disagree with you. The latest renders are truly astonishing and it will turn out to be one of the best buildings in Dubai. This always comes at a price and personally i believe I got a bargain. Good luck with yours.

Yes, I remember G-Tower was starting at 2.8M dhs when I bought metro tower. The main selling points of city of arabia to me when I bought were the wadi walk canal, mall of arabia and the monorail. Obviously, if the G Tower becomes one of the most prestigious buildings in dubai, it only further enhances all our investments. Also, I believe the times residence (rotation tower) is also in COA.
I think long-term, our investment is sound. It will take a LONG time for dubailand to be ready, but once all the other projects are up and running (remember the snowdome and aquadunya are in very close proximity to city of arabia), the value will go up. I am hoping to realise a good value by the time the metro line comes up in 2015.

Are any of you guys contemplating renting or just selling off when it is completed? How much do you think a 2bdrm apartment will go for (not G tower, as that will be EXPENSIVE). I am usually very pessimistic, so anything around 120K, I will be happy.

Kev, are you in dubai or an investor from abroad? what about you dayfox?
