Default Health check for Dubai residency visa

Hi,

I am just wondering based on your experiences (and knowledge) on this matter - I will be doing my health check up soon for Dubai residency visa; would be grateful if someone can tell me what are the battery of tests - both physical and blood?

Many thanks.

NOthing to worry, just a blood test and if they feel it's required then a Xray. Nothing to be worried about.

Anyway, welcome to Dubai and all the best.

Roshan

Thanks Roshan for your quick reply. Wonder if you (or anyone out there) know what this blood test is for? What does it test for - at least in the UAE/Dubai context.

What do people medically get rejected for in Dubai, other than AIDS and TB?

Sorry for the silliness of it but I have never taken a blood test before in my life.

It's just a general blood test which is more of a formality for the Govt and the assurance for the employer.

Diseases like Aids & TB would definitely call for rejection.

Nothing to worry about. Relax and welcome to Dubai.

Regards

Roshan

Only sexually transmittable diseases will call for a rejection.

It's good to have blood tests from time to time. not only to find out if you have illnesses, but also to have some blood renewed in your body... I know doctors who purposely take blood out of their body every now and then to have that renewing of blood taking place...

Good luck!
