Meydan LLC (Limited Liability Company) oversees the development of the UAE's incredible new iconic horseracing development. It will feature a world-class 60,000 capacity grandstand, and the enterprise will also serve as a major business and conference district. Other features of Meydan - an Arabic word, which is translated as a place where people congregate and compete - include the five-star Meydan Hotel managed by the Banyan Tree, Imax Theatre, golf course, more than 10 restaurants, covered car parking for 10,000 cars, the Meydan Museum, and the Dubai Racing Club and Emirates Racing Authority offices. Meydan Racecourse is in close proximity to Meydan City - a self-contained community consisting of commercial and residential plots, retail outlets and arcades with canal, waterfront and promenade views.

Mr. Saeed H Al -Tayer, Chairman of Meydan, commented: 'Plans are underway to make this one of the best ever displays of Meydan's evolving project and Cityscape Shanghai will be a perfect platform, being one of Asia's key real estate events.

Meydan City and Meydan Business Park, close to Meydan Racecourse, have attracted phenomenal investor interest since it was unveiled to the world on March 30 last year.

'The Meydan team is creating an exceptional racecourse, business park and city that investors truly appreciate,' says Mr. Saeed H Al -Tayer, Chairman of Meydan.

'Investors recognize it as one of the best master plans; for instance, every plot overlooks water - including the first boathouses situated on a canal in the UAE.

'The diverse mix of commercial, residential and leisure plots, all based around a horseracing facility, has resulted in a groundbreaking project, which greatly appeals to investors'

I really like Meydan. Its got a really passionate market out there. How many people enjoy horse racing?

The prices are going to be high. But they will hold thier value through any ups and downs in the market. I believe they will start at 3500 to 4000 AED per square foot but a much safer investment than many other developments.

Were currently building a 36 storey commercial and residential building of the future on a nice little spot on the lagoon. Alot of horse racing farm owners are enquiring. They want to have a residential to rent out to thier customer base when they go to Dubai events.
