Default Burg el Arab, north coast
Hello
Does anyone know much about the town of Burg el Arab near Alexandria on the north coast? I understand a football stadium is being built here and it is making a bid for the FIFI games in 2010. It is half an hour from the sea and near to some of the new seaside resorts being built.
Does anyone have any information on whether this area is likely to be up and coming? I have heard through the grapevine of some Russian interest......

Hi found this about the stadium Borg El Arab Stadium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also found this Egypt State Information Service- Economy - Rashid inaugurates three new factories at Borg el-Arab that would indicate that it would be more an industrial city rather than for tourists / investors

Thanks for that queen40something. I did a bit of research and agree - its more industrial/residential town. Just there was some land going really cheap there...so wondered..
