Default Egypt property investment

I have purchased a 2 bed apartment at the Zafarana beach resort has anyone else looked into this or bought here also , for £30k i feel that is quite cheap as Egypt is turning into a property hot spot.

Any suggestions and opinions would be appricated .

Congratulations! I firmly believe that the Egyptian market is set to take off big time. I have bought several front line beach units in Sahl Hasheesh near to Hurghada and they have almost doubled in value in 18 months. My objective with all my investments is quite simple location, location, location. There is only so much front line property and these will always go up in value and will always be saleable. They will also always be the first to be rented out.

How long does it take to get to this location - I thought it was in the middle of nowhere, which is why it is so cheap.

Thumbs up Still a good buy

Hi there, I too have bought a middle 2 bed apartment. Yes the closest aiport is Cairo, however there will be free transfers from both Hurghada and Cairo. Also the go ahead has been given to build an airport about 30km in Ain Souhkna. It due to be ready by 2010.

I am not that bothered by the journey. I could have paid a heck of alot somewhere already development but I like the idea of starting fresh and seeing the town of Zafarana grow as well as property prices. Zafanara Beach resort is the 1st of 3 resorts the developer is building in the area.

Great thing is the coral reef is untouched in the area and if you are like me will appreciate the other attractions apart from the beach and coral reefs. The Pyramids and the oldest monastries are not that far to get to on day trips
