Default Insurance in Egypt

Hello
I thought this may be of use to you.

I own in Bulgaria and insure my property through a UK based insurer they give me 2 million liability and also I pay monthly direct debit for no extra charge.
My brother owns in Hurghada and told me it was difficult to get good insurance in Egypt, after looking the company I use for Bulgaria does insurance for Egypt.

The link is below to the Egypt page

Intasure - insurance that speaks your language

Thanks - I have been in touch. I have no problem recommending Intasure. Few overseas companies who provide contents insurance give replacement as new. Intasure do.

Hi
I have been told that intasure are now Lloyds backed rather than Hiscox can anyone verify this.
We pay £192 a year for our apartment, (1 bed 65 sq metres) how does this compare to Egypt as we keep dipping our toes in the Egyptian property market but never quite get round to going for a swim

cheers

Hi rossmark68,
This is global investment properties marketing director, we are based in both UK and Egypt and i manage the Red sea office.
Regarding insurance we deal with one of the biggest insurance companies in Egypt and as an example for insurance covering both your house and its contents and for a property that is worth around £ 40k to £ 43k you will pay around £ 30 per year.

Hi Gip
We used to pay 45 euros for buildings and contents insurance through a Bulgarian company. We then heard about someone who insured through the same company as us and when they had a claim for £7000 they only managed to recoup £500 and that was extremely stressful. This is why we switched to Intasure as they are a big UK company and gave us peice of mind.
Have you had any issues with people claiming on your policies?
Cheers
