We are considering buying in Egypt and as my husband is Egyptian, language etc is not a problem. However we don't live there and although we've searched the web, we can't find decent property in and around Cairo. We had heard of Dreamland where the build is to a Western standard but haven't been able to find any information about it or similar. My husbands family have pointed us in the direction of builds like Madinaty but the place is going to be enormous and I don't think the build will be quality having seen a new town already built by the same company. We don't really want to buy on the Red Sea. Does anyone have any information, agents, websites etc that we could contact?

Thank you Hisham,

We're interested in buying a 2 bed apartment, new build, probably outside of Cairo as it would be cheaper but we're looking to rent it out as soon as possible, to Westerners (higher rents) so we want it built to a high standard, maybe with swimming pool, gym etc.

I had a look at the Dreamland website - they don't appear to have many flats available. Do you know what sort of standard they're built to.
Not sure about Madinaty. It looks as though it's going to be huge and I don't know how easy it would be to rent out and what sort of rents can be achieved.

What are your thoughts on the best place to look at?

Any help you can give us would be really appreciated.

Many thanks
