Agent is based in the UK actually and are very well known outfit. I would safely say that a few people on this site have used them aswell without mentioning any names.

It is stunningly amazing what can be done when the word Solicitor or Lawyer is mentioned.

Lets just say that it is all sorted!!!!

Hi darlawlor reading your story makes me cringe; we get so much flack as agents and I think it must be caused by the type of people you have been dealing with. In 10 years in business I have never taken a cent off a client; I insist that all money is paid through their lawyer to the Developer/Vendor in order to keep a proper account of what has been paid. Am I in a minority? It just seems common sense to me.

I firmly believe that agents like this should be 'named and shamed'; after all the forum is here to protect its members.

Default Agents

Peter,

As it happens, the agent had tranferred the money , just a couple of days ago which is 4 months after I transfferred it to them as requested. They held the money for this length of time.

I was starting to get worried a little so I chose to seek legal advice regarding the matter.

Letting people know that I was doing so seemed to put a pep in there step.
