I would be a little nervous of a contract like this.

It basically gives you no guarantees about the payments at all if they can ask you for more money any time.

I would be much happier signing a contract with a low annual fee that rises in line with inflation each year. This would seem to be a fair deal for both developer and client.

Open ended maint arrangements are always potentially bad news.

Which lawyer approved that.

Default British Resort

Hi Babette(and anyone else who"s bought at British Resort!!)
Have just stumbled accross this site,so am really chuffed to find others who have bought at this complex.
I bought my one bed appartment last March, and that is the only time i have been to Egypt!! So would love to see some recent pics from anyone who has been this year?
I am going back in April, and am having my own furniture shipped from UK hopefully to arrive the week that i am there.....hmmmm quite a tall order!! Is anyone else doing this option? or are you all being sensible and buying Medhats furniture package?!
Also, has anyone got a 2 bed appartment there that will be ready for rental by 18th April 08,as i will need somewhere to stay while i get my own appartment ready.
I have loads of questions i would like to ask(as Medhat and Waleed are a little slow at replying!!) so would appreciate some contact with anyone??!!!
Many Thanks
Karen, Gosport Hants.

Default British Resort

Hi Karen,

I bought a 2 bedroom in the resort. I have never been to Egypt before but I hope to head out soon for the 1st time.

I have no idea at what stage the development stands at the moment but from reading other posts I guess is it is moving along nicely.

Was it expensive to ship your furniture?

Hi (you didn"t put your name!)

I bought my apartment last march(first time i"d ever been to Egypt) and i havn"t been since, as i wanted my apartment to be finished before i went again.
It was ready in November,so ive paid my final balance now,and will be flying out to see it on 18th April. My furniture leaves the UK in 2 weeks time,to hopefully be there for 21st April (don"t know what i"ll do if it isnt!!!) The shipping costs varied from £1300-£2000,each of the companys offering different things! (i"m going with a well known company who have done Egypt before). It has probably worked out a bit more expensive than a furniture package, but this way i have got everything i want(and matching!!) and lots of home comforts!
Waleed and Medhat have promised me that my apartment is finished and that the pool will be ready to use by April. However,i am hoping to here from others on this site to tell me if this is true!! Aparently all of phase 1 is now finished, and phase 2 won"t be long.
I will be able to tell you more when i come back on April 25th.

Hi Nuttybird,

I also have paid my final balance sometime towards the end of November but I havent heard anything about when I should travel to finalise things. Did they contact you and tell you to go out there or what way did it work.
I bought from a property agent in the Uk.

Darren.

I bought from Churchill Solutions in the Uk.

Darren.
Hi Darren
I bought from Churchill solutions too.
I was e-mailed my final payment invoice from Waleed, payed it straight away, then didn"t here a thing for weeks! It took a lot of e-mails,texts,calls etc to get any reply from them. And i finally got my receipt last week for my final payment(by e-mail)
They said that the "servers" had been down in Hurghada, don"t know if this was true?!! but in general, they do take ages to answere any questions. I think you should just keep hassling them(like i did!!) Waleed has called me a few times about certain things though, and he is contactable by mobile.Do you have his number? I can give you it if not. I also have Medhats private number if you need to discuss the furniture package? (i am having my own shipped out from UK)
Hope this has been some help, anything else....just ask away!
Karen

Hello Nuttybird,
You do the same as my brother, he has his furniture shipped as well and is already living in the resort in his 2 bedroom apartment. Medhat is very helpfull.
If you sent me your email address then I can give you some photo;s. We are going on the 9th of Feb getting our apartment ready, so if you like you could hire ours for your friends which is also a 2-Br.
Let me know Babette
