Hi Jeff - I am round a frends so online for a short while.

Yes it is really easy to get the multi entry and residents visa at El Tor which is an hour drive from Sharm. Both cost around £15 and then you go to the notary to then get the POA which was just £4. My advise is if you are travelling to Sharm in the near future then get it all done then. If you are using an Egyptian lawyer he should arrange for a colleague to meet you outside the passport office. Our taxi driver charged us £15 return.
I cant send you a PM yet with her details but as soon as you are able to receive and send PM's I will send you her email address.

Thanks Alison

I'll probably do that, as time is running short for me to get things done at this end. How do I get to the stage where I can send and receive PM's.

Jeff

Hi Jeff - you're almost at the stage of being able to PM I would think. It's generally 5 or 6 good posts - and by good, it's usually posts that are more than one line or maybe quick questions. Maybe if you introduced yourself on the Introductions thread - that might do it!
Best wishes
Linda
(Alison is finding it very difficult to get online lately, so you might not hear from her straight away).

Thanks for that Linda.
I may be showing my ignorance her, but how do I access the Introductions thread? Is it the profile page via the membership list?

Hi Alison
We are yet another couple looking to buy our home in the sun in the Sharm region. We are going out to Sharm for a fortnight in June, could you give us some pointers on where to go and what to do so we don't get suckered by time wasters. Are there many units left in the development you have bought on?
Thanks Deb and Rob

Hello Deb and Rob,

Welcome to the forum both of you. Unfortunately Alison is having problems getting online but I'm sure she'll answer you as soon as she's able. Meantime have a look through the 2 Sharm threads and see if you can find the info that you're looking for. This is the link to the other thread: http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...g-sharm-8.html

Meantime it would be great if you could post a little about yourselves on the Introductions thread: http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ctions-34.html. It's a quick way for other members to 'meet' you both and help you with any questions that you may have.
If you need any help finding your way around the forum just give me a shout.
Best wishes
Linda

Hi Deb and Rob and welcome - all the top floor apartments have been sold - there are some middle and ground floor left. But the prices are increasing every 3 months. I havent checked my emails because I lost connection ( cant be bothered to check all 500+ tonight LOL ) but believe ground floor are now around 35K for 1 bed - middle are cheaper ( George no studios here ). Any questions please feel free to ask.
I will check and let you know which ones are still available if you are interested. All the buyers still think that Sierra will still be the best with regards to value for money, location and facilties.
There is this link for Sharm http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ing-sharm.html this one on Laguna Vista http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...-nabq-bay.html Sharks bay http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...el-shiekh.html Buying a hotel room http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...otel-room.html This on Legal Procedures http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...rty-egypt.html and
this on Furniture http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egypt...ure-egypt.html there is also lots of info in the lounge http://www.propertycommunity.com/forum/egyptian-lounge/

Have you been to Sharm before?? Where and when are you staying in June as we are also out in June??

Hope this helps

Regards

Alison xx
