Hi Stirrup - welcome to the forum - strange name by the way!! Do you have horses?

I think there are 3 others on this forum that have bought on Sierra - there are lots of British that have bought though -
there is one other member I believe that has bought in Sharks bay in Sharm.

If you buy on Sierra then you will only deal with SRE as they have the sole rights as an agent to sell Sierra. They have been very good so far and answered most questions without delay.
I am using Zeiad who is a well respected and trusted lawyer in Sharm.
Facilties should be - use of 10/12 swimming pools, access to beach 5/10 mins walk over the road, shuttle bus to beach, access to hotel restaurants, bars and health club - discount to be arranged near to the completion of the hotel. Supermarket on site. Golf course and shopping malls nearby, 10 mins from airport.
Im sure if you contact Tarek he will be more than happy to give you all the details you require.

What are you looking to buy - 1 bed, 2 or 3 bed. Have you been to Egypt or Sharm before? Have you seen any other developments in Sharm? Are you aware of the 99 yr lease and POA etc??

Regards

Alison

yes we do have horses!!! been to Luxor 4 yrs ago and loved it and went to sharm two years and loved it also. we are looking buying a two bed to use as a holiday home. Not really interested in rental income. We like sharm because it is very westernised and easy to navigate. we are hoping to go over in the next 8 weeks. What we are really interested in are the facilities, the appeal of being adjacent to the hotel is paramount as we have two children.

The 99 year lease does not really conern me the only question i would pose is it renewable - hand down to children etc.

Hi - we too are not really interested in the rental side.

There are two new malls called La Strada and Al Khan see Oriental Resort and Al Khan*-*Sharm El Sheikh Travel Destination Guide - Dahab - Nuweiba and Sinai Desert there is also the Jasmine centre.

Sierra will have a large supermarket on site as well. Park Inn Hotel just down the road has a waterpark. The 18 hole golf course is being built - 9 holes already finished. Colona are on the beach and also do board kiting see COLONA WATERSPORTS - kiteboarding lessons, kite prices, kitesurfing prices.

There is Burgerking up the road and also Hard Rock will be opening soon.

Nabq is an up and coming area and at the moment is alot cheaper than Naama bay, Sharks bay and Montaza.

Hadaba is cheaper but is more residential.

Regards

Alison

Default Working in Sharm

Hi Alison

Would you consider taking an extended 'holiday' and working for us in Sharm for a while? We have a new exclusive resort called Sunrise Heights and we could really do with someone there.

Hi Jayne - thanks - yes getting excited but still want to see interior - getting impatient LOL. I have seen a really nice sofabed on Tagourys so I am going to email my furniture maker in Sharm to see how much he can make it for me - Tagourys price is nearly £1,000!!

Hi Stirrup cottage - Il Mercato is in Hadaba which is in a completely different area - the opposite way as you come out of the airport past Naama bay. Approx 20 mins from the airport and 30 from Nabq. There are not that many shops open at Il Mercato yet - Virgin has just opened, Body shop, Claires, Burgerking, Costa Coffee and KFC. Plus handful of others - if all the shops fill then it will be really good.

La Strada and Al Khan have shops like Puma, Lotto, Morgan, La Senza, Timberland, Harley Davidson etc etc etc. These are down the road from Sierra - within walking distance.
