Do you have the data on Egypt - Red Sea Area specifically since it's hard to come by anything that can be termed "official".

Hi

I have merged the new Earthquake thread into this thread as I think it could be applicable to Buildings Insurance

Hi,

A relevant discussion considering England had an Earthquake last night and one before that in 2002. I am led to believe that there was an earthquake in Cairo in the 90's last. The point being the whole world is alive and anything can happen anywhere even on your doorstep.

Regards

Hi Demon Diver, the company they have recommended is a very good one i use them for several countries. They are not part of WWD if that is what you are woried about, if you have a look at our website on the service page you will see they are the only ones we recommend. Not only do they offer buildings and contents but also personal liability if you rent your apartment out and someone gets hurt and tries to sue you. Not many companies offer this, or they didn't when we started.

Not really thought about personal liability but a valid point!
There is already a buildings guarentee so contents would only be required?
We were quoted 95 GBP (contents only) which I thought reasonable.

Hi £95 for contents is very expensive. I have been quoted £125 for buildings and contents with accidental damage cover and this also clovers for letting purposes and with a liabilty of £5000000 through Intasure.
