I am not a man who jumps too early i feel that until the job is complete the responsible people (WWD) have the time on there sides to ensure that everyone has a good and fair finished apartment. The apartments have improved very quickly to me and yes we all have one or two issues but i am aware that wwd are doing there all to improve some areas where the finish has been a little poor. Sorry to be a devils advocate but this is the way i feel.
If you read the previous posts people have wrote, you will be fully aware that some people have actually completed. This is the finished product.Do you not think also that people have contacted WWD about these issues. It seems most people only want a pool and garden area looking nice.Surely this bit is a comunal area and comes under general maintenence.(which we all pay for )
The small area you pay for is the apartment, hense the shabby workmanship and quality.Photos cannot lie, unlike some!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those photos are a true representation of the quality of the rubbish being installed.I just wish people would look, take note and understand,THAT IS BEING INSTALLED IN ALL APARTMENTS.Its not just for special people.

I'm in block 'A' anyone else noticed that block 'A' and 'L' are not gated?

Thats no extractor in the bathroom, no reinforced front door, no lifetime lawyer and no security gates by the look of it. However I notice the pictures do not show the entrances to blocks ‘A’ and ‘L’ clearly.

Looking on the bright side my kitchen cupboards are a very nice white with brownish stains, and almost every shelf in my wardrobes are split.
Got some great video as well.
When were these pictures taken ? I do know that thing like these problems are being or have been sorted recently cos I had a few problems but my friend in Egypt checked a a few weeks later and they had been sorted.
I don't mean to sound rude but you only seem to pick on EVERYTHING, try not to "stress" so much, Perhaps you shouldn't have bought in Egypt, You probably paid about the same as I did for mine and my car cost more that what we have paid, The Security guard probably will not just be stuck in his hut he will patrol the area and who says there will only be one? Why do people worry so much before anything has happened, Put things into perspective:for very little money we have a property that is going up in value and when the whole resort is finished it should be worth loads, If there is a problem with the paint or the grouting I will do it myself or pay a little egyptian man very little to do it for me, I am going to enjoy mine and not moan about anything til it happens, I think it is embaressing for somebody to moan all the time about everything,

Why do people like you come to a forum if you cannot even be polite. I f as you say you are talking for "most" people i want an apartment and dont care less about the pool and gardens (very small) i am buying a holiliday home at a very affordable price. You just seem to want to destroy everyones faith .I will just add that i come on this forum for information and assistance and if in a small way i can help then i do.So if this shoddy work is being done throughout the buildings why do my pics say a different picture. Perhaps when i had mine fully snagged the camera was lying to me?? I have my report and i have dealt with the issues and if i have just been treated special then lucky me.I think we all understand from page 1 of this forum that there have been problems but have you been to see a finished apartment, i have not so i do not comment until i have.Mine at the present(pics from last week) looks good any any niggles have been addressed and when i go out i will deal with stuff then. Sorry yours is not going to plan and anyones elses but i am confident the problems will be resolved. And yes i am sure those who have problems have been on to WWD hence why i suggested a nuetral lawyer. You are stating that WWD will not help you or entertain you then use your power as a buyer and seek professional assistance. and if people have completed then they must of been impressed or happy to sign a contract for an apartment that met there standards unless WWD have a gun to there heads.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I don't want to enter into a spat!!

I can see where Picasso divers is coming from, I don't think it matters how much we have paid or how much we are going to get in the future, if I pay for something I expect to get the best I can for my money, as regards to his moans or not wanting to be there when his is well,... we will know who you are your'e the one who is so laid back you'll be horizontal. Its not nice to make it personal. This is a good site and forum and people are entitled to air the positives and negatives.

Sue

I fully intend to be laid back about it all cos I am there to enjoy my purchase.
I didn' t want to make it personal but I look on this forum when I am "having a moment" and feeling excited and looking forward to going there and all I ever see is complaints, and especially from Picasso divers. I want to see good things as well about our apartments , yes I am laid back about it all cos I have spent alot of time in Egypt and at very good hotels and even there the finishes leave a little to be desired. I enter into a country with an open mind and try to go with the flow of that particular culture, there is nothing worse than in my opinion when we go to a country and try to change things into our way of thinking, I am buying in Egypt because I like the fact that it is so laid back and when I have visited I can completely switch off my stresses, I don't want to offend anybody but some good things to say please !!! Neils pictures look fab and my Egyptian friend says the same , all good , anything that is wong can be put right and I'm sure will be put right, I just don't understand all of the negativity.

Hey Sancho you don't mean to sound rude well matey you are doing a good job of being so. Regardless of your thoughts everyone deserves the right to there own opinions and to present facts as they see it to help and to bring to peoples attention possible problems that may enable them to get solutions early doors. Picasso diver went out there to see for his self did you, he took photos and and presented them as examples, albeit a little angry. I suppose if you were sitting enjoying a quiet drink of an evening and someone above you rinsed their balcony and you got covered because of a gap up to the apartment above then you would calmly get your "little egyptian man" to sort it would you. Why do you assume because something is cheap "and mine certainly wasn't" then you should accept shoddy workmanship, would you on that expensive car, i think not. There is a lot of info on this forum good and bad and much off it has been helpfull and i would not like some one who may have something relevant to impart on us to not to do it for fear of being attacked for his views even if they "Do not mean to be rude"
I dont care who i sit next to at the pool if they are moaning about their lot it will surly make me feel better about mine.
You see Sanch each post even one as rude and as patronizing (to the little egyptian man) as yours has relevance and has the right to be heard, and i say spk as you find.

Come on guys and girls, you are nearly there now don't spoil it by attacking each other. I am sure there will be problems and as Simon said give them the chance to sort them out. Windows and doors can be changed, cracks can be filled, walls can be given another coat of paint. This is a hand made building, without the tools and equipment builders over here have so yes walls and floors may not be 100% straight, there may be a few gaps here and there. Just remember these are Egyptian builders building to European standards, they can't be watched 100% of the time, but when problems are found as far as i know they are being rectified. Give them a chance to put things right, if in a couple of months nothing has been done then start to shout.

Come on you are all going to be neighbours and you nearly have your keys, don't spoil it all now please.
