It's strange. On their website, the developers posted this on a August 2007:

Desert Pearl phase 1 is ahead of schedule, and is now due for completion on 15th December 2007

I can't believe that they could bring the date forward and then have it fall so far behind again, but I'm no builder.

This picture from November doesn't look to me like it's only a few weeks away from completion though:

I never know what the definition of 'finished' is with these developments though.

Thats exactly what i thought when i visited this week. The apartment they show finished on photos is the only apartment out of over 200 that is anywhere near finished.

The staircases havent been touched yet neither have the lifts and the only windows in are the 2 large ones on the front on the top floor. And one of them was being fitted while i was there.

What time of day were these pics taken.

Any chance your camera can be set to show the time and date on each photo.

Taken at 3:30 this afternoon. I leave the time date stamp option off on my photos it spoils the picture for me.

great pics again - the close proximity between DP and Suleder is clear enough here isnt it! Also it looks pretty dark - was the sun going down when the photos were taken? thanks again - as always!

Hi,
Ive just come back from viewing properties in Hurghada and was disappointed with Desert Pearl Apartments. I also saw Regency Towers and Saras Residence there and found both to be a lot better for investment. In addition i would recommend speaking to Redsea Furniture on this forum. He is a Brit whose been living in Hurghada for a year and knows his stuff.

If you want more info then post me back.

I too was very impressed with Sara's Residences. Of all of the competing developments in El-Kaswer/Touristic Centre/Little Britain, I would say that Sara's Residence has the best location and also the best prices/m2.

It's a shame that the two studios are sold already. The only downside is that the entry price to the development is quite high now at over GBP30,000 as all of the units are so huge - a minimum of 89m2 for a one-bedroom.

The good thing about Sara's is the space and the quality finish. The building is on its own and will not be hemmed in my nearby buildings so will be very light and airy.
