My agent has confirmed to me that there is no stamp duty. I looked on a FAQ site that had all the FAQ for Desert Pearl and one was

Is there any Stamp Duty?
No.

See post #96 on this thread. Although he was going to speak to the tax office, Zeiad says there is no stamp duty.

Was wondering if there could be variations outside of Sharm, but if it says 'no stamp duty' on the official website that, we would assume should be correct. If sold in the UK, would it come under the 'property misselling act' I wonder.

Do you know the amount paid, ie the 0.6%. It may tally with one of my payments. What did you pay in total ?

Default Oasis Marina and Hania Beach

A: Oasis Marina:

Please note that I just finished a long call with Oasis Marina's Developer. I agreed with her that she will write a written statement clarifying the situation of the wooden huts between the complex and the beach. As son as I get it in my hands I will scan it and publish it here.

B: Hania Beach:

The developer's solicitor has stopped liaising for no clear reason, after he told me that he was sending the due diligence documents! Despite the fact that this makes me a bit suspicious, but an associate is meeting up with the developer tonight in Hurghada to check these documents. You will be updated. Sorry for the delay but seriously I did not cause it, and if they showed the documents since we first requested it things would've accelerated way faster. Now I am hoping the reason of this delay would not be that the documents are not what I expect. We'll see anyway.

All the best,

Zeiad Yehia
Solicitor
