Angry re hurghada

All properties in Hurghada will return some profit?? I do know there are a couple of units just come back on the market as resales and they are going for more than what people purchased at.I understand the worry as it is along way from home but all i can say to those people who are worried is have a bit of faith that the finished article will be good. Look you need to make your own apartment your own and give it a touch of personal feature (lick of paint or ! a rug!!) looking in at an empty and very uniform apartment will give rise that every little paint mark etc will be seen.I have had a problem with the grout for instance in my bathroom i pointed it out and there has been a huge difference and improvment so i will now wait till 16th may and i will check out all rest for myself. This will be off course when my apartment is complete with my furniture in place and after a final professional clean. Then i will make my own mind up to whether the apartments are crap or as i already know suitable for what i paid for.I will certainly enjoy the sunshine all year round without having to pay any hotel fees, in my own apartment i will make my own so it feel s a home from home for us whenever i arrive there.in between time we will rent it and get a few quid back, and then when we feel we want we will put it on the market and sell and make a few quid profit. And although some remain very negative re Desert Pearl i am not and understand that the risk in purchasing off plan as we all did is a huge risk and i really do not feel we have done bad at all. hey it could of never been finished then you would of lost your money and your invesment would be in egyptian rubble instead of a nice looking apartment block where we can in some comfort get nice suntans and relax. I take it those who still remain unhappy live in some sort of over the top pefect luxury with no faults or problems, i know i dont. My home has some faults and is certainly not Beckingham Palace and it is only 10 yrs old and as my home is i can sell it on the market as it is now for an estimated 250k. Now this is not blowing trumpets but it is to show that in good old limey we buy and sell second hand homes at a huge profit with all its faults so why complain about a few when built in Egypt? I think the complaints are all justified as each person is totally different but please dont make up my mind for me just because it does not ring your bells.Any faults as said before can be rectified AFTER IT IS FINISHED WHICH IT IS NOT??? the furniture is not in and for those who say people are living in it??? also the pool is meant to be filthy and not finishd?? I know someone who has been there in the last week and was in the pool???? it was clean. Whatever your complaints off course they are warranted but you are making blanket complaints about Desert Pearl as a block not just your own apartment and i would like people to keep there complaints to what they own themselves and not slate it all as you are stating that all our apartments are shabby and bad and that we have all been conned. Please remember it was off plan and a little of a greed gamble by us all thats what you do when you buy OFF PLAN.Its a risk.to get something at a good price. I am very sure that by the middle of May when all furniture packs etc are in and the final pro cleans are done you will see a big difference, if not put it on the market and sell. The final point is it will not help any resales by slating an item before its handed over. Sorry but there you go

Hi Alan, I am sure you

I think that this is WWD's first project in Egypt, dealing with Egyptian builders and Legal issues etc, so I'm sure they are learning from the problems with DP1 and taking on board for their other developements. As I've said before Hurghada and the Red Sea is a fantastic place to own an appartment and I'm sure when all the problems are sorted then we will all be happy to be there, whether it be to just a holiday or to stay.

Hi Sarah,

I am only there for a week and fly back to Birmingham on the morning of the 20th so maybe can meet up at another time....Where abouts is the Winking Frog by the way, I take it that it is close to the DP1.

Simon, you have made some very valid points here. I too have not been without probs, but until now this is associated purely with poor communication. When I go out there, I will deal with problems as and when they occur. I am not expecting it to be a smooth run, but deal with same I shall. I hope that by addressing some of the problems mentioned, some of the tensions will be eased. You mentioned the pool Simon, I dont justifiably think that it will be at its best until after ALL the building works in the immediate vicinity are concluded, 'after the dust has settled', so to speak. Personally, I intend to find and pay one of the workmen on site to carry out a few small jobs, for me (shelves etc). I will not mind at all paying for tidying up jobs myself, as it will cost virtually next to nothing, and get it done quicker. I certainly dont intend going in to this looking on the downside

Default re little jobs

,The pool is off course as you say smack in the middle of a building site area and on top of a sand desert.Very good post and i totally agree with it and yes it will cost nowt to employ someone to just touch up those bits that may need it? i will be painting at some point i reckon just to give it a touch of personality??

Hi if you
Thanks I may very well take you up on that and will get back to you. On another note - has anyone seen the Sky news Alan Kempson, Shaun and 2 others from WWD have been missing in the Brazilian Forest since Friday, it is feared that their plane crashed whilst visiting their project over there.
