Default Rental

Having been to the new Visit-Hurghada site and seen the work they are doing i am concerned that they are being offered to rent from June advertising the availability of Gym Internet etc and having just returned from 3 weeks out there the basement area and office areas are nothing but rubble and the concentration of building work (bricks and mortar stuff) has shifted to DP2 and Coral Rubble. There is a large contingent of people working at the DP1 complex but they are driven by DD and largely finishing the apartments and snagging and furnishing. They are workink bloody hard and Jackie Mac who i cant reccommend highly enough are getting all the reported snags and niff naff sorted quickly and efficiently but i reiterate there is no building work going on anymore to finish the promised facilities. I could not get an answer from any WWD rep on site and any answer i did get would do a politician proud as it was long pleasant and said nothing. It seems unfortunately that the push to get the apartments completed (which i think are brill) has been heroic but in my opinion that was to get the final payments since then the effort has shifted to the other devs again to maybe get monies in and the finish to DP1 will now stroll along as it doesnt put money into the pot. I doubt greatly and would love to be proved wrong but i cannot see the gym internet cafe completed for some months yet and i even doubt the WWD offices which will manage the facilities will be completed by June. If anybody knows different please comment and those going out soon please ask away and i hope you get more info then i could.
In conclusion the apartments are lovely the area and grounds really good and the Staff left on site are helpfull and really switched on and attend to snagging and requests quickly and within a good timeframe but they can only do so much and rely on WWD for info and support and a lot of that is now next door building DP2. My view is that they should finish the one to the standard contracted before piling resources into the next two (sorry DP2 and Coral rubblers) It will be a lovely place to live or holiday i just cannot at the moment see how we can rent it out as advertised without the promised facilities and as mud sticks we will be hard pushed to build up a good rep with initial clients if they expect so much and find key facilities missing. (pools great though)

Isn't it nice to actually see some people enjoying their apartments... I'm jealous!
Had my website up for ages, and turned down a LOT of enquiries purely because I want to know its completely ready before booking anyone in! Thats the facilities as well as the room!
If Visit-Hurghada isn't handling bookings any more, then do we get our £50 back?

Hi Steve yes it was great to enjoy our apartment makes you feel so different than in an hotel just knowing you own this place.
Visit Hurghada are still handling the rental pool and have updated their site where you will see virtual footage and photos contracts and the ability to register with them if not already doing so. My concern was the news letter saying they are ready to go ahead from June and i doubt the facilities they advertise will be complete. I understand your reticence in letting your apartment yet as i can assure you the facilities advertised downstairs are nowhere near complete and i saw no activity in my three weeks there save a little bricky work on the WWD offices which again are nowhere near complete. If that is where the management company that will dish out keys arrange collection get you in and arrange cleaning and laundry will operate from then it does not look good for a June start. I will endevour to let out our apartment to friends and family who will be made aware of the limitations of the development and for a reduced rate until the whole package is fully completed and up to standard and Visit-Hurghada have accepted the building so to speak. We want this to be a success for all of us and need guests to return thrilled and with high recommendations not bad reports about lack of promised facilities.
Have a shufty of Visit-Hurghada website it has changed quite a bit and continues to do so.

Rgds

Could you tell me how much your renting yours for at the moment?

Cheers,
Hi
Agree it would be good to have some sort of referral system in place! The weeks I have rented it out for currently have gone for £200.00 each which isnt bad I don't think for a new apartment.

£200 sounds good to me. Especially when facilitys are not yet setup and building work going on next door.

Just have to pull my finger out and get the placed furnished now so I can start bringing in the rentals

Visit Hurghada and Hotel Portal were actually the same guy! Look at the domain registrations.

Has anyone completed a mortgage or is this going to be a long running story until worldwide dissappear and we are left with very little, as you can tell i am a little concerned, they wont last long if the mortgages do not pay them out and we will own nothing? welcome any experiences people are having so far, dP2? dont rely on mortgage that has anything to do with Worldwide, they have no idea, just keep hiring and firing people? !!
Dan there have been several issues with WWD but thankfully things are now getting sorted out.
One suggestion I have for you is to ask WWD can you use LAM finance.
Give Hannah a call to see if anything can be done.

Regards
Martin
