Hi. I live in London with my husband, who is Egyptian. I work in education and my husband in the tourist industry. We have been married for 22 years and have two children, 21 and 17. We are hoping to semi-retire in Egypt as our love is equally divided between the beautiful, clear waters of the Red Sea and the green and pleasant English countryside....so we want both! We have been visiting Egypt almost every year or every other year since we married and I have a love-hate relationship with Egypt. I am always glad to get home, however, within a few months am itching to get back to that lovely warmth that is Egypt and her people!
We have bought in Sahl Hasheesh because we just fell in love with the setting. Before that we had a flat in Alexandria and weren't actually intending to buy in the Red Sea.
It's great to know who everyone is - hoping to meet some of you someday in Hurghada.
Best wishes.

I am a civilian trainer for the Police and teach everything from Law to Search and also Personal Safety Training and Conflict Management. I am also a part-qualified accountant and also a human resources manager.

About four months ago my Step dad mentioned he was thinking of investing some of his pension in Egypt, never thought much more about it. Two months later my husband suggested selling up in the UK (Belfast house prices have gone through the roof in the last 2 years) and moving to Egypt, I thought he was nuts!! A couple of bottles of wine later, and he had me convinced.

So here we are. Patiently (or not so in my case) waiting for our house to sell and as soon as that happens, we will be moving straight out and hopefully never looking back.

Let me know how it all goes please.... We're thinking of buying out there and need good reliable info. Hopefully you can help be part of our guide out there?

Many thanks

Hi All I was born in Morocco and have lived in the UK for most of my life, I have been married for the past ten years.

4 years ago having previous to that already invested heavily in Morocco and seeing the market develop I decided to start the UK's 1st Moroccan run property agency Property Borders, with the intention of expanding our operation into other countries hence the name.

I was and still am very proud of this.

Being of Arab origin and understanding the culture of this part of the World having visited most of it, after visiting first Sharm El Sheikh many times and then later Hurghada & loving it.

We at Property Borders decided to expand our horizons into Egypt, seeing the market develop in Egypt just like it has in Morocco it has been very exciting for us and we believe Egypt just like all of you will be huge in the future.

Default been here for five years and wont be going back

A little about me, i worked in sales in the UK I am English 35 years old but left the software sales business after 9/11 collapsed the market (i sold to financials mainly US Investment Banks) and took a break with the idea to travel for six months and then go back to my good paying job, after six months in Tenerife I learnt to be a Dive Master and SCUBA Diving became a passion so I never made it back to England and moved to Egypt where I met my German wife and have
been for now Five years.

After working and then managing and now partner in a Diving Center I have time to branch out with some internet base businesses, web design company and now real estate although i wont be jumping on the band wagon like a million other people and starting a real estate agency but as a buyers agent where i can use my negotiation skills to get the best price for the customer. anyway i don't want to flaunt the forum rules on my first post and im not going to even put my web address when i get the ability to add a signature just wanted to say hi and see the types of real questions people are interested in when they buy real estate.
