Projects delayed by shortage of materials ?

Anyone getting any feedback on this - my builder has been telling me that there is a severe shortage of steel at the moment and prices have jumped significantly because of world shortage.

Any projects more than about 12 months from finishing, and still needing steel could be struggling to finish on time.
