I learned how to say " I live here" in Arabic. I found it helps a lot. Phonetically it sounds like this " Anna Ishe Henna" It also helps a lot when you are bargaining for a lower price. I was getting many things a lot cheaper when using this phrase. Plus the taxis won't hassle you for more money.

Thanks ever much for that, Glenn. I had always planned that the first words of Arabic that I would learn would be "I am not a tourist, I live here'.

I picked up an Arabic phrasebook a few days ago but haven't had time to look at it yet. It will be my reading on the plane over.

Anyone know what 'I am not a tourist' is?

So I missed out on the inaugural meeting?

I guess you've all been to the real estate exhibition.

Will one of you make a report on what you found there that you think looks interesting?

I am really sorry that I am arriving too late to have visited it as I would have liked to have seen what was going on there. I hope someone can give the rest of us some details on the highlights.

I might not get the chance to post again for a few days and so I thought I would bring this up again for those who might have forgotten (shame on you!)

Looks like we should have quite a few people on Thursday if everyone who says they are coming will turn up.

It was nice to see Mr and Mrs PROPERTYWATCH1 briefly. Sorry I had to dash off, but I am three bottles of duty free Smirnoff better off for it!

Ok the first monthly hurghada meeting went down well we even managed to have the first bulls lock in lol.............. The meeting was a great success after several bottles of the hard stuff.
It was great to put faces to names and have a really good informative chat about all things Hurghada.
Ive added a couple of photos to the post but im leaving it up to all of you out there to put a name to a face ... for now.
